The houses
The Ladder's terraces share one plan. The front room has a bay, then comes a back reception, a narrow galley or back-addition kitchen, and a steep straight staircase to two or three bedrooms and a bathroom over the back addition. Many have been converted into upper and lower flats. Green Lanes itself has flats above shops. Harringay Gardens and the roads towards Finsbury Park have larger Victorian houses.
What that means for decorating
- The hallway is the big job. A narrow hall with a tall, straight stair is awkward to reach safely. We price it as its own job.
- Knowable room sizes. Because the houses are so alike, rooms here can often be priced accurately from photos and a size preset. That makes them ideal for a remote quote.
- Parking. Most of the Ladder has controlled parking. Tell us if a visitor permit will be available.
Finsbury Park
The park itself is in Haringey. Most of the town centre around Finsbury Park station is in Islington, with a small part in Hackney. We work in the Haringey streets by the park, and just across the boundary.

Questions
Can a Ladder terrace be priced without a visit?
Usually yes. The houses are consistent enough that room presets, ceiling height and a few photos give an accurate fixed quote for interior work.
